Commit #18626You
and your consultant are about to start an elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy
on a 47 year old woman with biliary colic. You are applying betadine prep when
you notice that she has a previous midline laparotomy scar that runs from her
xiphisternum to pubic symphysis.
As you begin to insufflate the
pneumoperitoneum, the anaesthetist tells you that the patient is severely
bradycardia (heart rate 10) and hypotensive.
What could be causing this and how
would you manage this situation?
